Thanks for the battery compartment schematics the other day, diagnosis was a disconnected wire...ill have it soldered before my show on Saturday and ready to rock, thank you!

Black Sting Ray Bass

I recently bought a black stingray bass serial # 25505 for a couple hundred dollars in a thrift shop...can you tell me when it was made and was it a good value buy? The condition is good and sounds great.

They're meant as a ready-reckoner (only) and to give a rough idea of date. They're NOT a complete data base.

Serial numbers for Pre-EB Basses don't exist so a comparison with other dated Pre-EB serials should be helpful.

As Ernie Ball has it's own data base for all their instruments, the date of an EB instrument can be obtained by posting in this thread and quoting your serial number.
