Music Man Serial Number Database

Dear all,

first of all, hello to everybody again (this is repost ), from what i've seen it seems like a great community here. i've been fortunate enough to buy a music man stingray bass at an auction for quite a bargain (god bless ignorant people at auctions!), and am trying to find out exactly when it was made, where etc. I understand that you can post the serial number in this forum, and get the information? (REPOST comment: many many thanks to Psycho Ward for directions )

The serialnumber on the back plate is E01741 - i guess the color would be 'natural', according to Ernie Ball Music Man StingRay Bass Guitar site. A friend of mine pointed to an active pickup...other than that i'm at a loss of more accurate information (never played an electric bass in my life, acoustic guitar up until...well three days ago)

I have just become the owner of a used EBMM Sterling bass (translucent gold I think). I was wondering if someone could give me the dob for it. The previous owner said he purchased the bass in 99, but the little research I did seemed to show it was mid 2000.

The color of my bass is translucent blue, and comes with the bridge with dampers ..
Sa need to know how I called the bridge and was manufactured until years.

Hi Mike - I double and triple checked the database and this serial number comes up with the build date of 7/15/04. It was originally sold to Lynchburg Music Center in Lynchburg, VA
