Sold my Jazz many moons ago to concentrate on family and the Ray was my reward/replacement. I'd love to know its origins and how it got to New Zealand.
Serial - 26124. I haven't been able to find it on any databases as yet.
I'll get a couple pics up soon but any help would be appreciated.

Many thanks for that - I wouldn't give up my baby for anything, and I've had offers. Its a beautiful original sunburst with a clear pg. I've never seen one like it. Mind you, there are some unbelievable examples of them in here. I'm stunned by how beautiful some of these basses are. I would love to know how it got to NZ but I doubt I will ever find that out.

I'm new to the forum and I'm about to purchase a Music Man Stingray bass which is supposed to date from 1986. I got this serial number: 25420
Can you tell me if this correct?
It's a red bass, but I was wondering what kind of red (car, dakota, fiesta etc.), if you could tell me that too, that would be awesome!
