I just bought this wonderful, second hand, Ernie Ball Music Man StingRay 5, honeyburst with the following serial number:

I bought my Stingray used in 1994. I've always wondered what the color name, as I've never seen this color before (Teal-ish color but not exactly). Also, when was my Stingray born (I suspect 1989 based on other serial numbers), wood type or any other information available.

DOB: 6/2/89 The body wood is most likely Ash, but the color name in our database only comes up with "Special" so I can't say for sure what color it actually is.

Hi Thiago - This instrument is not a Limited Edition but the color, Lava Pearl, has been discontinued. It was done on September 24, 2003
