Howdy!
I just bought my first EBMM Stingray 5! I was wondering if you could give me it's birthday.

Serial #: E60640

Also the nut on this thing is different from other Stingray's I've seen around. It has the normal groove for the string but halfway through the nut, the grooves open wider. Is this normal?

Thanks!

Hello from Russia again! Tell me please what means the first letter of serial number. They are different (E,F, etc), and why do they need? What is the difference? Tell me in detail if it isn't difficult. We in our wild Russia love yours excellent instruments very much! (simile: if Fender=Mercedes, then MusicMan=Ferrari). I wait answer and sorry about bad English. Wrote this post without help of computer-translator. See You again. I go to play!

DOB:07/11/07 it has a compensated nut:
The Compensated Nut has been engineered to improve your Music Man instrument's potential to play perfectly in tune up an down the fretboard. Each string has an individual intonation pocket that slightly changes the effective string length, causing notes that traditionally play sharp to be more in tune.

Music Man serial numbers are completely random, there is no code or system used. Enjoy your Stingray!
