I was wondering if I could get info on a transwhite Stingray, sn 37360, I don't know know if you can tell me what the original pickguard would have been? Be curious to know where it was shipped to if you have that info going that far back. I've found somewhere on the net that this was one of 5 2band transwhite SR4s with rosewood fretboards? It's a freaking great bass!
Hi, guys! Could you tell me the origins or any info about instrument with serial number 43016?
Mine is serial number 2112, I know EB don't have numbers for basses that old, but could someone give me some idea of the build date? Looking at musicmanbass.org. it could be October or November 1976, but is it possible to narrow it down a bit?
I bought it in early May 1977 and it was the first white Stingray in the UK, although it was imported as a sunburst or natural, but it had a lacquer defect and was returned to the importer and sprayed white. The first owner had a hand-tooled leather scratchplate made but it also came with the original one. It's had a hard gigging life and looks well used!

Just joined after occasionally looking at the forum. Great work, thanks.
Hope to cop some info on my most used Stingray at present - D07013. Had it for ages now & still loving it, so would love to know its birthday.

Hi, just bought myself a used Stingray and I'd like to know more about it. When it was produced, where, any detail would be great.
SN is L050905
Thanks,
Chris
Chris, welcome to the forum!
L050905 is one digit too many for an EBMM serial #, please re-check and get back to me.
