My "newest" (NOS) EBMM SR5 is a beautiful trans red with an RW fingerboard and black PG/knobs, the other hardware is chrome. It has a black pre-Bongo pickup. S/N/ E33086. Can you tell me the DOB?

B008292 does not appear to be in our system, as we only have serial #'s from 1985-present.
However, after cross referencing w/ musicmanbass.org, it looks like the neck & body date back to Oct. 1978

E73517 - DOB: 09/04/09, Ice Blue finish. An SR HH should weigh in at about 11 lbs. Maybe your scale is off???

E02915 - DOB: 07/15/98, my best guess is that this body is poplar (if heavy), but could be ashwood. Black finish, maaple neck/ fretboard, 3-band EQ, shipped to Guitar Center
B023355 looks to be from either 1978 or '79, can't be sure (referenced from musicmanbass.org). As explained to Colind, we don't have pre-'85 s/n's in our system.
