Hi, I've owned my MMSR5 for many years and never knew the actual year it was made. Can you help me out? Serial number is E21734

I have a Cream white Stingray with a tortoise (red) pickgaurd. I don't see a serial # on the headstock or anywhere visible on the body. I removed the neck and found the date Aug 21 1991, (so that answers that question). Am I not looking in the right areas?

The SN for your bass should be located on the bridge plate, behind the saddles.

Just picked up a used Stingray 4 today - pretty excited! Vintage sunburst over what appears to be a 1-piece swamp ash body and a rosewood fret board. It sounds amazing (no surprise) and plays wonderfully.

Its serial number is: E67675

Can you tell me when this bass was made (second half of 2008?) and whether the pickup is ceramic or AlNiCo?

Im looking at purchasing a sweet as Sting Ray bass second hand but the owner has no idea of the production date and I'd like to make sure its not a fake of some type. It is a natural finish, maple neck with a tortoise shell scratchplate and single humbucker.
Serial number is E28856.
Wondering if someone can help me out on this one!
