Hi, can you please help me with this one:
acquired a lovely Stingray 4 HH "Slo Special" last week in Sky Blue at Pro Music Tools in Munich. The S/N is E78686.
What's the DOB?
And do you records say anything about the wood used for the body? In the shop they could only say "selected hard wood". I would bet it's alder. BTW it has a maple neck/fingerboard.

That definitely has a BFR inlay at the 12th fret. All models that were part of that run featured the BFR logo.

Thanks for playing Music Man! That bass was completed on March 19th, 2012. The body is ash as all Stingrays have been ash for over 10 years (with the exception of some special runs).

hey aj thanks for confirming my musicman I had another question what is neck made out of and I'm comfused because people say the color I have is discontinued I would put a pik on but don't know how what can u tell me looks like a trans blue burst also wonder if u can tell me original owner

This is a JP6 with matching headstock in black completed on March 2nd, 2007

E68597 comes up as electric blue which is discontinued but is not a trans blue or a burst, with maple neck, rosewood fretboard and matching headstock.

That serial number yields no information in our database. Please double check it (the bass may be too old to show up in our database).
September 1st, 1994. The color is called "Natural Velvet" and the body is ash, neck is maple.
If the serial number is E50543 then your bass was completed on February 9th, 2006, the body is ash, the neck is maple with rosewood fretboard, the color is honeyburst and the pickup is ceramic.
