Hello A.J.

Perhaps you missed my question above.

I'm Tero and I just registered.

I bought my first Stingray, Classic 4, Serial B051357.

Would be very grateful if you could tell me the DOB and all other available specs and the shipping destination.

Thank you,

Tero

Hello:

New Stingray 5 H: E91859. Date of Birth, body wood (I guess ash as I can see it)?

Also, the envelop in the case was missing the schematic sheet that the other two new MM's had. Can you confirm the pick-up. I assume that its alnico so with the switch to the rear, in parallel; switch in middle 1 single coil with 2 filter; switch toward the neck 1 and 2 in series. Thanks.

Hi! I spotted an unusual Ray at Guitar Center. It has all the hallmarks of a Classic Ray, except it has a standard oil and wax maple neck. Was this one of the early models produced for GC? Does the neck have the vintage radius? Serial #B050111.

December 10th, 2013... definitely ash, alnico and you are spot on with the switching.

Note

Very nice bass! Unfortunately we do not have information pertaining to production dates of instruments made prior to Ernie Ball acquiring Music Man. You could check for a date sticker on the pots in the control cavity but your best bet is to remove the neck and look for a date stamp on the heel of the neck and/or the neck pocket of the body.
