That serial number appears to belong to a pre EB Music Man and if that's the case we don't have any information on the bass. You can check Home - Musicmanbass.org, Music Man, Musicman, Music Man Bass, Musicman Bass, Music Man Guitar for some more information. You could also pull the neck off and check the heel of the neck and the neck pocket for a date stamp.

Thanks so much for the info A.J. The instrument is in showroom condition - not a mark on it, with the plastic on the pickguard and all of the barcode stickers, and all of the case candy as well.
