Information needed, please:
I have a serial number request, and also a question about battery location on USA MM Sterling basses. Here's why; I'm interested in purchasing a used Sterling 4-string bass, serial #F07555. The owner says its a 2012 model, but the placement of the battery compartment seems different than others I've seen. It seems that current Sterling basses (both USA and SB14 models) have a battery compartment in the lower horn of the body (in line with the control cavity). I had a MM Sterling in the 90's that had a chrome battery cover located NEXT to the control cavity cover (between the center of the bass and the cavity). Well, this used bass has a battery compartment NEXT to the cavity cover just like my 90's bass. So I'm wondering if it's really a 2012? Perhaps you can shed some light on that for me - thanks!
