New to the forum! Just picked up another Stingray and it's a sweet bass.


I too would like a DOB and any other information available about my bass please.

My serial number is E16711. I'm guessing early to mid 90's based on the metal battery cover.

Your StingRay 3EQ was completed on August 4th, 2000. The color is natural gloss with the maple neck. It was originally sold to Sam Ash Music.

Hi! I have two EB Musicman Sterlings I would love the production dates on:

- F03479: Black Sterling with matching headstock
- F06453: Sparkle White Sterling

Also, the necks on the two seem a bit different. The white one, which I assume is newer, has a neck which seems thinner (flatter/smaller/more flat c shape?) than the black one. Any detail you could provide around the potential differences in neck specs, and how they compare to the necks on 2015 model Sterlings would be helpful - as I'm in the market for a third.

May 27th, 1992. We've always had the same specs on that pickup, since 1976. Alnico magnets and wired in parallel
