Hi there.

I would love to know the date of birth and specification of my Ernie Ball StingRay. I purchased it second hand between sometime between '94 & '96 for £300'ish (give or take £100, I can't remember) which I was told was a bargain and it's still gigging today.

It has 4eq's and it's black with a black pickguard. I assume it's rosewood but I wouldn't know how to tell. The black paint glows green when UV light is shone on it. I was informed a long time ago that it was made in 1989.

S/N: 26927.

This Stingray 3EQ was completed on January 9th, 1989. The color is black and our database is showing that it was originally shipped with a maple neck. At that time we were using mainly Ash for the body, but occasionally Alder or Poplar was used for the body wood. It was originally shipped to Strings & Things.

This S.U.B. 2EQ passive bass was completed on October 13th, 2004. The color is textured black with the rosewood black painted neck & diamond plate pickguard. It was originally shipped to Guitar Center.
