this guitar is great, very playable, liked the feel of it, and will probably buy one in the near future. but i was thinking it would be nice if i could make some changes to it. so my question is.

if you order Music Man Silhouette can you order one with floyd rose?? and/or without middle single coil pickup?? are there any other changes that can be made or only what they offer.

even if you can ill buy one :D:D

thanks

You cant do either I am afraid but it would be very easy to buy a HH pickguard and mod it that way with a 3 way switch or whatever.

I didnt really want a middle pickup ether when i bought mine but the range of tones that it gives is great. position 2 and 4 are incredible for cleans and strat sounds. I couldnt do without it now!!!

You cant do anything about the floyd but i will say this , when the vintage trem is set up to float it can do alot of what a floyd can do and will be rock solid tuning wise. I have mine set up floating and its fantastic, very smooth very stable with none of the floyd draw backs.

If you do buy one , you wont be disapointed.
Good luck

The trem is great, I think you would really love it.

I prefer the Silhouettes myself, but if you want a stock MM guitar with HH and Floyd, you should try the Axis.

You could look for an older Silhouette. I've seen them in the F/S section here with a floyd and HH configuration. If you want the HH, because middle pickups are in the way of your picking (that's how I am), the pickup can be lowered all the way down to the pickguard.

i was looking at axis too but im drawn more to Silhouette.

if it was an option to have only HH it would be good but with that S in the middle i cancertainly live with it, and like Jack FFR1846 said i can lower the pickup like i did on my ibanez (hey, and more sound options :D).

mybe this is a stupid question but, does the tremolo arm stay in a position that you put it or it moves around, if you know what i mean?

You can have it any way you want, either loose and swingy or stiff and ....not swingy very easy to adjust . there is a little screw on the block of the trem which you tighten to make it stay and loosen to make it swing
