Hi Everyone!

I'm having trouble with the switch, I guess. From time to time, more often than not, only middle pickup is working being in positions 2 & 4.
Positions 1,3, and 5 are barely audible - noisy. I cleaned the switch two times with contact spray, didn't help. Switch looks fine, connections solid, but it does have little play.
Having this issue for 2-3 years now. Sometimes everything works (all positions, all pick ups) and that can last for monts at the time.
I live in Serbia. Original 5-Way Blade Switch is only available to me from Music Man website, and comes at 174usd with shipping. Bit steep for me.
Maybe someone dealt with similar issue? Maybe it's not the switch? Anyways, I bought guitar 8 years a go, brand new, nothing was ever replaced or fixed so far.
Are there any alternative brands and models for switch replacement that you know of that will fit without messing with cavity or guitar mask?

Thank you so much for any input on the subject, this is my only instrument, and guitar mechanics are few around here.
I'm avoiding looking for a one before I have switch replacement at hand.

Hi- before you replace the switch, I’d open it up and check the wiring. Could just be that a wire or solder joint is loose.

If you have to replace it, you just need a 5-way lever switch with 4 sets of poles. You might able to find something locally that works. Or, maybe someone could buy one for you and ship it over?

Thank You beej and DrKev! I feel welcomed.

Solder joints look fine to me, but then again, I have zero expertise in that area.
Just got back from local Music Store, and bought last DiMarzio EP1112 - 30usd.
Got a number from Guitar Tech as well, I'll give him a ring these days and hopefully clear the issue,
whether problem is in switch it self, wire, solder joint, or something else.
I'll get back with results and what the issue was.

Thanks again, I really appreciate it !
