i flat out suck

A duckk that sucks:D At least you are being honest. There are some players though that think they are real hot stuff and really do suck. There are also some who think they suck and are really better than they think they are. You could be one of those people;)

I'm definitely curious to try out some Markbass gear, but I'm perfectly happy with my GK rig right now. I got a GK 1001RB-II head about a year & a half ago, and I got a GK Neo 212 almost a year ago. Both are wonderful pieces of equipment & I have no reason to ditch them right now. I have no desire to try to sell them or trade them at this point. In fact, I'm about to pull the trigger on a Neo 115 as soon as the time is right, and I'm counting on that being my last piece of bass rig for a long time.

That is, unless I win the lottery & can actually afford new stuff without trading or selling existing stuff....

na, that was a joke. im actually pretty aweosome. LoL

anyways... i played my HS Sterling thru my GK 1001rb till the GK caught fire a couple months ago.

honestly... i had ZERO problem getting a good sound out of it. I dont really remember the settings i used... i think my EQ was essentially all flat with a bunch of boost, some pressence and gain at around 12 o'clock. its been to GK and back so i cant really look at the knobs to "remember" the settings but it was pretty easy getting it where i like it.

like the guys said.. start flat on the bass and amp and adjust from there. i dont remember messing with the EQ knobs much, if at all
