hello everybody from germany,

a few days ago I got me a MM SR 5

The output power is much lower than it was on my SR4. (even with new battery)
I had to plug it in the passive jack of my amp to get enough output.
Have you ever experienced this?
How can I fix it?

have you checked the pickup height? otherwise i would call customer service or go back to where you bought it.

i checked the pickup height, nothing changed.
maybe a little bit, but i'm not talking about a little bit.
the difference between my sr4 and my sr5 is really really huge.
plugged in to the active jack of my amp i could play the sr4 on half amp power,
the sr5 needs more than full amp power to be just as loud.
i bought it used, the sound is great, and plugged in to the passive jack the output power is ok.
but thats not how it should work i think.

Is this the case in every position of the 3 position switch?
Again. I would recomend contacting ebmm customer suport. Ore take it to a technician. It might be a pickup, preamp, output jack,.... problem. Or yust a fault in the wiring or something. Im not sure annyone here will be able to help you with the info you have given.
