Music Man Stingray RS Setup

pure preference. Mine were usually set around .010” relief measured around the 9th fret using the string as a straight edge. String height around 2mm at 17th fret. This all depends on your tuning, string gauge, and pick attack.

Hi and welcome to the forum family!

isnt the measures taken by the 12th fret?
Most manufacturers do it that way but not everyone does.

According to the Music Man FAQ...

"Factory string setting for standard tuning starts at the bass side 2/32" (1.59 mm) to 5/64" (1.98 mm) and the treble side is 3/64" (1.19 mm) to 2/32" (1.59 mm) measured from the 12th fret to the bottom of the strings."

For neck relief I recommend 0.008" (0.2 mm) (hold strings down at 1st fret and 17th fret and measure gap between string and 7th fret).

But use these numbers as starting points to figure out what works for you, then measure it up and you can always get back there easily in the future.
