I recently found a Music Man SUB 1 5-string on sale brand new. Here's my question...

What's the difference between a Music Man SUB 1? X02? X04? etc...

Comparatively, it's the best price I've found anywhere...and MusiciansFriend.com will match it. Should I go for it?

Right now I have an Ibanez SRX200 so I'm really looking to upgrade.

The SUB 1 is a guitar.
The X01 is a passive four string bass.
The X02 is an active four string bass.
The X03 is a passive five string bass.
The X04 is an active five string bass.
The X01 - X04 are all based on the four string Stingray. They all have alnico pickups and the active basses have two band preamps. The passive basses have passive treble and bass tone controls.
Then you've got the SUB sterling which has a down sized body and neck width like the standard Sterling, but with (IIRC) an alnico pickup like the Stingray and a three band active preamp.
