Brilliant! You think you could help me with my restaurant? I need a new front of house manager;) Now, how many of you bought Dargie's Delight?

BP, I knew you were good at making guitars, basses, strings, etc.....but I didn't realize how good you are at marketing. Again, all I can say is wow!

that is mandatory reading I particularly thought this was interesting;

[FONT=arial,helvetica,sans-serif]You paint a pretty bleak picture of sub-par guitar quality. Managers at most big-box store can’t be bothered to set guitars up properly. Any thoughts on what could be done to improve the situation?
I’d like to see NAMM push for some basic standards for the guitar. I don’t mean to be always “pinning the tail on NAMM,” but they are the only collective agency the industry has, so it falls to them. I think an “approved guitar” should have a maximum height at the nut, level frets, a maximum string height at the 12th fret, and a minimum intonation standard. Basically a beginner should be able to play an open E-chord and bar chords on any instrument, so they have at least a fighting chance at progressing. If you limited the standards to a few key, measurable items, I think they would be workable, and I think most manufacturers would support them. If the industry developed a standard like the Good Housekeeping seal of approval, or Consumer Reports “Best Buy” and then marketed it like a brand, it would add value to the product. NAMM’s legal counsel doesn’t think this is feasible, but I think they should hire lawyers who can show them how to do it.

Colin it took me awhile to learn. I learned in Dallas.
When BP talks it is mandantory listening required.

He has earned that. It doesn't always come out in the typing but it is there just the same.
