I received this email from Grant this evening as well. I guess these days putting a spin on things for the public eye is not only for politicians.
This email is several times longer than the entire communications I received from grant over the 4 months of ordering and waiting for the darn guitar.
And if giving someone their money back for a deposit on a guitar that never got ordered is considered to be a favour - then we are living in two different worlds. In reality you held my money for a guitar that did not exist.

Honestly - it is just a guitar - with all that is going on in the world today - it doesn't merit this much drama - I posted this thread initially when I was waiting for it to come in - I wonder why I had to post on the EBMM board when my dealer was only an email/phone call away? The answer should be fairly obvious. i was excited and waiting anxiously and just wanted to know what was up. A simple courtesy of a return of an email without having to contact you several times and be ignored while doing so would have been sufficient and I never would have posted here asking for info & this thread would never have taken place.

dude, you had a bad experience with a dealer... we get it. No matter who's fault it is (or was) a solution has been offered by EBMM and if you want your Axis please call customer service and let them take care of it. 12th Fret offered their side of what happened and lets just leave it at that. We don't need to air out our dirty laundry on the forum. All that is going to happen from this point on is that "WE" are going to upset the balance of the forum with the "he said/she said" stuff and eventually Sterling, who doesn't have nearly enough to deal with, is going to have to step in and give us all a boot to the butt. I know I'm not a Mod and Im not trying to be a dick to anyone, but after watching this thread for a while I'm thinking its just about time to close it and move on to something more productive... like begging Sterling to make more green guitars or PMing him and asking him why he wont add me to his facebook!!!

I believe this is where a major part of the problem is coming from. As stated earlier, THE GUITAR WAS ORDERED FOR YOU. We at the 12th Fret were waiting for it to arrive, same as you were. Yes, the order was lost somewhere along the way, but that is very different than what you are claiming. Either this has been improperly communicated to you, or you simply refuse to believe Grant and me. If it is the former, than I apologize for the miscommunication. If it is in fact the latter, than we are simply at an impass. If you refuse to believe a single thing we say, than there is only so much we can do to help. There is no political spin being applied here. We can forward you the e-mail communications showing the order was placed.

And yes, Grant's e-mail posted above was longer than the sum of his previous communications with you, as your previous communications were simple questions that only required short answers. Do not distort the issue. If Grant answered every e-mail in as much detail as his letter above, he wouldn't have time to get much work done, would he?

I think all sides can agree that this has gone on more than long enough. Nick, above all else, I understand as a fellow guitar player how much you were and still are looking forward to a Music Man guitar, and how dissapointed you are with the bumps along the road. I understand you are unhappy with your dealings with the 12th Fret. In the end, nothing I can say or do will change how you feel about your experiences. All I ask is of you is to please understand that we honestly did try to make you happy, and if we failed to do so it is not out of lack of caring or effort.

Good luck with your hunt for a guitar. Wherever you end up finding it, I'm sure you will love the Music Man when you get it at home in your hands. It is a wonderful instrument.

Guys, I'm going to close this. Everybody is talking, so I'm going to leave it to the parties to sort things out individually.
