I want to Buy a musicman axis but i dont like the colors for 2021, i like the old colors more, im waiting for new colors and more wood Choices, like birds eye maple. Is there custom shop?

When is the new colors comming for 2022.

Keep an eye on the forum sale thread, local classifieds, eBay, and Reverb. I use Reverb's "feed" feature to get alerts when something I'm interested in gets listed (some stuff moves very quick, especially if priced reasonably - a purple Axis sold in minutes when I last looked.)

I'd guess NAMM is a likely guess for new color announcements but like Beej said, nothing is public yet.

No custom shop or I would be completely broke. Keep an eye out for smaller shops that have some older models in stock. Mine was a few years old but still technically brand new when I found it.

Are you looking for a specific color?

I wish i could time travel back to 2013 and buy one from the Limited Edition Tribute Axis, would be awesome if those colors where available for order again some time ;)

Translucent blue
Translucent gold
Translucent green
Translucent pink
Translucent purple
Translucent red
Natural
Natural flame

Everything is delayed right now, so you can assume there will be an announcement sometime. However, the 2021 colors came very late in the year, so I would assume that they are going to keep producing the current colors for a while.

They use to announce the new colors at NAMM. However, NAMM 2022 has been pushed off till the summer I believe. Maybe they'll make an announcement then.

Last year they had the new Axis colors out in August. At least, that was the public announcement. It used to be NAMM was huge for getting dealer orders, but the pandemic has really changed the game a lot.

As I am ne to EBMM, will old colors be discontinued after the NAMM 22 if they release new ones?

What often happens when new colors are introduced on specific models is that any slower selling/less popular colors on that model are discontinued. That's not a guarantee that anything will be discontinued this time around, it is just what has happened several times in the past.
