I want buy a 4 string mm bass but i don't have the luxury of trying a stingray, over here in singapore, so i'll never know the difference between a stringray and a sterling. The distributor here in singapore only has 2 basses, a stringray 5 and a sterling, both without piezo and in horrible colours. They told me that if i wanted a musicman instrument, it would take 3 months for them to ship it. As for the pricing, they are charging S$3,220 er.. about US$1,820 for an all black sterling w/ piezo and maple w/ matching headstock that will come only in 3 months time!
Would it be better or cheaper if i buy the bass online and ship it in myself?
