we will get with these Carle Place guys...Do you have a local source for knee braces?

Joe Nerve emailed jack and said that there were some stingrays in NYC with bowed necks and shap fret ends. (thanks for the heads up and thanks for contacting me before posting!) This can happen especially in the winter if these instruments sit in a truck for days in record cold. My problem is that the dealer should either contact us of just fix them. It is a cheap and easy fix and the bowed neck is just a twist of the trustrod. The frustrating part is when they just leave them there and think that someone will buy them.

(Didn't you guys just get record snow?)

We willo deal with all of these GC issues on Monday

Big Poppa,

The weather in NYC isn't too different from the weather in Pittsburgh. It's been one crazy winter here, temperature-wise. We'll see a 40-degree temperature drop from one day to the next. January was downright balmy this year, only to have February come along and bring the freeze with a vengeance.

I can see how any instrument left in a delivery vehicle for any length of time wouldn't stand a chance in this winter of extremes. Certainly any guitar being shipped to the east coast this winter needs a little extra attention after it's had some time to adjust to the conditions here. Especially those guitars with our beloved unfinished necks.

I had to take some bow out of my Y2D after it was here about a week. It's been perfect ever since.

That's why I don't like to buy gear like this online.

My local GC doesn't make all the expensive gear accessible. Usually a salesman needs a ladder to get it for you.

Battery Choice

Hi,

I don't mean to hijack this thread, but I have a small question...

I was curious as to why EBMM recommends Duracell batteries. Other well-known bass makers, such as Roger Sadowsky, use Duracell as well...

Are they more supportive of instrument electronics as opposed to Energizer and others?

...Just curious...

Tru Dat, Duracell's in anything I own that runs on batteries. I agree, in my experiences with all sorts of appliances; they just last longer.
