Hi i'm new here and not a bass player, but I have a friend that is and one of his tuning pegs broke off his musicman stingray bass and I wanted to give him a new set for xmas and have them engraved.
I was hoping you guys could help me out, I've looked all over the internet and googled alot but can't seem to find a place that sells them??
Are they not being made and sold seperatly? what's the deal? and one last question if all else fails could i buy some Stagg bass tuning pegs and put them on the stingray? would they fit?
Thanks very much in advance!

I thought they were a standard name-brand product,
available to anyone ... but without the EBMM stamping
on the back plate ?

Schallers. I would NOT take them off a Stagg bass and expect them to work very well, but if you contact Schaller and tell them the model of the bass, they can probably fix you up.

Thanks for the quick replies guys, it's very much appreciated. I forgot to tell you though that I live in Iceland and craigslist and ebay are not viable options for me at this time, although I know craigslist can be a goldmine, I've found lots of old school samplers and synths there for dirt cheap also this Stingray in question was bought off of craigslist for 600$ in pretty much mint condition back in 2008.
Anyways I talked to the local musicman dealer here and they didn't have any, and kind of just told me most people just order these parts by themselves online, but like I said I haven't found any stores that carry them online which I find kind of odd, considering how popular these basses are.
I'll definatly email musicman customer service and ask them, thanks for the heads up!

Thanks for all the help again guys, and feel free to let me know if you guys know of any online stores that carry official musicman parts that ship to europe/scandinavia :)

p.s. do all musicman tuning pegs fit all musicman basses? like one size fits all? Excuse my ignorance I'm a total bass newb :)

DON'T DO IT on the Stagg tuners: not a nice present! Contact customer service with the serial number of the bass and they're likely to take care of you.

Thanks to all of you for the help, my dilemma has been solved Ernie Ball sells them for 120$ and they will even send to europe.
I was thinking of buying the generic stagg tuning pegs which are the only ones readily available here, thanks for steering me away from that. I see now that it would be like buying toyota hubcaps and expecting them to work and fit on a ferrari, hehe.
Will definatly check out these Schaller's guys if I need more pegs in the future, when you posted that first post mentioning Schaller's I thought it was some kind of phrase you used or a user on this forum or something, haha. English is not my first language and I couldn't make sense of that first post, thanks for clarifying it.

Anyways thanks again and I hope you all have a nice weekend and holidays.
Peace

If I ever say anything in English that seems crazy, there are two possibilities.

1. I'm not making any sense.
2. I'm assuming way too much.

In case it's number 2, feel free to ask me to clarify/explain/shut the hell up.

Glad you got your tuners sorted out!

Jack

PS: I think Schaller makes those.

Just figured I'd add that the actual model was the BM as you hadn't. Anyway, did I mention they are Schaller BM's and they are readily available through many vendors (COUGHeBayCOUGH) at varying prices substantially under retail?
