Hi all,
I've got a Musicman Stingray II guitar (active) that needs repairing
- the battery discharges at fantastic speed
- sound cuts without warning in mid play (very frustrating...) you tap on the body and the sound comes back

So I suspect there is a bad contact in the circuit but I haven't found anyone able to fix the problem. The pre amp is coated in some thick black resin so can't be accessed.
I live in London, so if you know of someone or somewhere that could help me... It's a great guitar I just want to be able to play it!

Thanks for your help

Pierre

Im in belgium. Also had some issues on mine but fixed it myself via photos ive found online and some schematics. If you can solder yourself, first check for loose wires. If nothing is loose then post some high resolution closed up pics here. I can check all the wires to be in the right place.....
