that's a difficult question...I think all models are the top of the line, you just need to make a choice by yourself considering your tastes...

an AL is as good as a luke, or an axis or silo...the quality is constant.

I think there is no answer to you question, it's just a matter of taste !

Your question is like asking "which child you prefer ?" You love them all equaly :D

There isn't really a flagship model. They're all so different from each other and designed to fit specific needs.

Ibanez Jems DO suck, but the RG Prestige top end and J customs are awesome.

I have an 1987 Green Jem which plays and sounds like a dream. I have an old JS that is also a good guitar. The problem with most big brands like that is that the quality is very inconsistent from guitar to guitar. I've played Jems that were just horribly put together and some that were nice. I don't use it anymore simply because it is so gawdy and that's just not me.

The cool thing about EB is that the craftsmanship is superb with anything that has the Ball name on it. I think we'd all agree on that.

Well, I can definitely speak for myself owning a SUB1 guitar, its built very well...
I did see another one in my local dealer's shop which identical to mine with specs and color, but it had buzzes all over the 1st string, probably a setup issue, other than that, I played a used EVH which had old strings and it still kicked ass!

I tried a Silo, I didn't like the sound of it, but it felt great in my hands and it was so smooth played... I can definitely say EBMM are consistent with their construction.

Great guitars from a great company... I couldn't ask for more...

Yeah, I wasn't even thinking about the SUB. That guitar KILLS any guitar in the $500-600 range. Just blows any other out of the water. I may have to snatch up one of those one of these days.

The differences in sound between the Silo (HSH), Silo Special (SSH) and Silo Special (SSS) are pretty big. If you get a chance to try the others, you really should! :)

I love my JP more than any EVH. (And I'm not seeking any EVH's either.) ;)

Seriously, the best MusicMan is the one that's in your hands at that moment.
