I went there about 7 or 8 years ago, great place! It's the place where I played my first ever EBMM guitar, I remember it like it was yesterday: a Purple Quilt Axis! That day I sworn I would buy a EBMM guitar one day, and look now!! :D

I'm thinking of going there again, but I think it's gonna be next year (too busy this year...)

Musikmesse is a great place to try and look at amazing instruments! I'm gonna be there on next Thursday. :D

BTW: Who is in charge of the whole organization? Is EBMM involved in any way or is it 100% responsibility of German distributor Musik Meyer?

I´d like to know that too.
I wasn´t there for about 9 years and maybe this year I´ll give my comeback on Saturday. But it´s not sure yet.

Musik Meyer is our distributor and I dont think any of us are attending this year.

Oh sorry to hear. I will be at Musik Meyer´s booth and hoped to meet you and you could squeeze some more money out of my pocket.
Another pile of Musicmans or a case of Mondavi/Opus one:confused:

Mick, I will take care of squeezing out the money of your pocket...

We will have a fine choice of MusicMan instruments and all the ErnieBall stuff, maybe a BFR prototype. We offer the BFRs in summer when available.

For all of you: Our booth is not open to the public, only for dealers.
See you,

Philipp

Hi Philip is it you?? I was on tour the last 3 days and offline and the Hotel was unable to fix their online service.
Another problem was I was arrested at the booth of our sponsor for grabbing the police officer:eek:

So EBMM basically doesn't exist for the general public there? I know that when I saw that arrangement last year I thought that a company that doesn't even present their product obviously doesn't need my money.
IMHO you're wasting an opportunity there...I mean, MM guitars are not that common in stores - it would give people a chance to find out about them.

interesting point.
what is the reason because EBMM has not an own booth and because the little arrangement is not for public?

how much importance has the Musikmesse Frankfurt for your biz?

Nothing against anybody, just an objective question

expectations from the general public can be a heavy load to carry. These shows are very expensive, especially Franfurt. We have been exhibiting for many years and in a small public booth with so so results. The main focus of Frankfurt is to meet with international distributors and show them new products and review and prepare marketng plans. The public days are fun but not the reason for exhibiting.

WE are back ordered 6 months and have just finished meeting with all of the important distributors 8 weeks ago at Anaheim NAMM, so Frankfurt is a redundant luxury for us. The other thing is that if we do something I like to do it right and to do that in Frankfurt is cost prohibitive.

And I thought I'd get yelled at for the not needing my money part, turns out it's true :D (just kidding)

Explained that way, it's understandable. Sad (if you've ever attempted to try out an AL around here ;)), but understandable. Answers like this are the reason I'm really enjoying this forum.
