And will be until my Bongo5 Hp lined fretless 2007 LE is complete. It will then be the best because it has the magic power of sparklyness.

Then the universe will be MINE to command!

Uhhh...sort of.

Unless your new Bongo is a Jedi, or a ninja, I think Jack will still take the game simply because his fretless has quite a few friends to help out in a fight.

I hereby volunteer to settle this "best fretless Bongo on the planet" debate.

Simply send all fretless bongos to me, and I will conduct an extensive and lengthy and impartial testing regimen and deliver a verdict sometime in late summer. :)

It's a tough competition. I'm thinking the sweet spot + piezo must be great.

Barring my first suggestion, perhaps all fretless bongo owners should put up sound clips, and we can judge here!

Great pics, Jack! Is pic #2 the best representation of the color?

Well - it's hard to say. It looks a certain way in sunlight, so yes, that's what number two is.

Like so many of these finishes, it changes according to the light.

Well I really like it and think that I prefer it to ebony from my experiences. I have had several EBMM fretless basses and they always held up very well to regular use with round wound strings . I also find the wood very pleasing visually. It has a strong resemblance to RW in my opinion but with an exotic "lighter" look.

Damn, I missed Paul putting his Candy Red B4 on the block!

I'm gonna go kick my own ass for letting mine go...at least the 4-bangers anyway!

And now it's mine!

There's something wrong with it. It doesn't have a ding on the end of the headstock!

Arrived in perfect condition, straight knobs and all.

Plus, I've got a metric ton of delicious polystyrene peanuts to snack on!

PS: Jack has handwriting like a little girl. :p

Thank you, sir!

Stay tuned, folks. When my LE arrives this summer this is going back on the block.

Sounds like it's the town bass! Everybody's got a chance to play 'er.

So if I haven't, what does that say?

It says, Doug, and I don't want to offend you in any way, but it says that you're not quite as slutty as the rest of us.

Whew! Glad it made it in good shape, AD.
