I'm sitting here completely loving my 2-band Black Sparkle SR4. I know the single H bongo gets alot of cred as the point and shoot kind of bass but I think that title deserves to be shared with the 2 band Rays. I do love my 3 banders as well, but with the 2 band I can just cut the treble all the way and boost the bass all the way and bam, perfect. I guess I'm just a simple guy but I dont miss the midrange knob one bit.

Even though the tree banders sound great (the newer ones especially), I'm a big fan of the two band. There's something about the attack that's very pleasing to me.

Which, of course, is why I ordered my Dargie Delight as a two bander. :D

I also ordered a 2 band Dargie Delight!
I did a matching headstock unlined fretless.
What is the rest of the details on yours?

Well I ordered my DD with the 3 band, but I think I'm gonna be looking to obtain another 2 band in the future but for now the Black Sparkle will do

I only own 1 EB (hey, poor student, but this bass is all I need for now), and it's a 2-band Stingray. I don't need many knobs, just keep it simple, I have a versatile EQ on my amp that does the trick.

Mine is a fretted, non matching headstock. I had actually ordered a trans orange, maple board 2 bander, but it only took a few days after the Dargie Delight was announced for me to change my mind (thanks Jack and Dude for hooking me up, BTW).

Keep me in mind if you ever decide to sell yours. ;)

It's funny, I recently acquired a 2EQ '05 Stingray in Buttercream..... mmmmmmmm.. buttercream:p But I bought it used online from some guy who had some mediocre pics and he didn't mention anything about it being a 2 band.
I assumed it was a 3 band:eek: When I recieved it, I was surprised to say the least.... and honestly, a bit disappointed. That disapointment lasted until I plugged it into my Mesa/Berg:D Pretty cool they only made 4 of 'em in the '05LE with 2 band. Now, i'm a big 2 band fan.
By the way hankSRAY, nice collection of MM you've got there.
