He had one if those rare lucid moments of complete clarity... unfortunately the dull reality kicked in again right after the second note... ;) ... been there, fubared like that! I never understood how it can happen, but it does: Everything feels alright, you're in the mood but slightly nervous, the solo approaches, you take off, hit the first wrong note, and crash land having no clue what happened, what key this song is in, and why that damned mixolydian scale does not fit the song today!

Please, do the guy a favor, especially if he's good otherwise, either fade out the song before the solo or remove it from YouTube.





Been there too. I've been lucky in that it's mostly been during a rehearsal! That and there's not a high possibility of it happening, because I don't get many bass solos.

Gotta say, though, there isn't much that kills my mood faster than messing up a solo. Just makes the whole song stink like garbage to me...
