my band sometimes finishes the last set with Black Sabbath's War Pigs(awesome song i think)which always goes down well.
or how about Deep Puple's Highway Star----even though we don't have a keyboard player it still sounds great.

Sweet Child O Child- G'n'Roses

So is that 'Sweet Grandchild o Mine'? :p

That's one heck of a rockin' setlist. I'd go check your band out!

As an odd coincidence, I just learned Hallowed Be Thy Name, I Don't Know, Sweet Child O Mine and Welcome to the Jungle over the last month or so.

Oh and a +1 on Ratt. :)

"Sweet Child O' Mine" is the one song on that list that my band plays, too. We cranked it out one night without ever having practiced it, and now it's a part of our setlist. :D

It has worked for my band any time we do it. Lame in my opinion but when it brings the house down I am glad we played it.

Heck I will admit is fun to play. I am old it shouldn't be.

We do freebird too after ten million drunks yell it out.

Gotta love the guys that wrote all that music. I do.

It is a standard just like Brown Eyed Girl if you live in Kansas :)

I guess Set List are a Big thing here in the Rock World, Does this mean a Lack Of good front Singers who can read a crowd and watch the dance floor and Play what the People want instead of what the band wants.
Just was wondering?.
Set List are Great for a Show but a Bar? NOT.

Hi there

Couple of ideas here from guitar land

Up there with Maiden - We've done Phantom Of The Opera for years - Still brings the house down. Wrathchild also works well.

AC/DC - Back in Black is great - Also Whole Lotta Rosie excellent set closer/encore (we stick a bit of Apache by The Shadows in the middle quiet section!:D )

How about some Rush? Spirit Of Radio goes well or Working Man if you want to keep it simpler.

No mentions yet for the mighty Zeppelin? - Rock and Roll always works well towards the end of most nights.

Hope these are useful.:D
