Wow. What a guitar! The Luke is the most complete guitar I personally have ever owned. I'm guessing the only thing close might be a PRS. The tops on some of the PRS's are excellent, but so are the tops on the BFR's. And I know for a fact that they can't they compete with the feel of the Luke. The neck is a cream dream!!!

I let our other guitar player play it last night during our last set, and he was like a beast uncaged!! I wish I could have recorded it. He was on fire. I asked him when we were done what he thought, and all he could say was, "NICE NICE NICE guitar man. Exceptional! Just exceptional." For Jimmie to give something that kind of praise, can only mean that he truly thought it was unreal. He didn't want to give it back!

We both were impressed at how responsive and stable the trem is. It should feel like the trem on my Axis, but for some reason it feels better. I'm sure it's set up related. Or, it could be that I'm dazed by the stunning top! HA! But the sucker stays in tune. And he mentioned how nice it was the hear chords ring out as they should via the compensated nut. He mixed up his style a lot too, going from full on shred to country to jazz. That guitar can do it all, and it does it WELL.

Some guy's don't like the fact that the vol drops when you switch to the middle or neck PU's, but he and I both PREFER that because many times that position is too loud to begin with.

My only complaint is small... and it's that the bridge PU is somewhat "clean" sounding. Meaning, the guitar sounds more like a strat when playing a "higher gain" sound (like classic rock) than it does a Les Paul. If it were more like a LP, it would be the ultimate hands down killer guitar FOR ME. I tend to want to turn my amp up when I have the Luke on, if coming from my Les Paul. But to be fair, my Les Paul is ultra fat. That's it! I wish the bridge PU was a bit warmer and fatter! But it's really not worth even complaining about, because as is, it's just great.

Once you understand what the guitar's voice is and USE IT, you will quickly see how special the guitar is. So what if I have to turn my amp up a hair? So what if it's not ULTRA fat on the Bridge? The sound you do get has wonderful sustain and detail. NOT brittle or stale. I think some guys confuse gain with sustain. It's sustain that I'm after vs. gain.

The bottom line, I just can't be happier! I just can't recommend the guitar enough!

Thanks BP!
