my biggest dillema!!!

here i is ...
i got my luke about four monthes ago
ever sens i never touched my fender strat(american dlx)
i was thinking about selling the thing but every body tells me don't do that
it is allways good when you have a fender at home...

so my dillema is, should i sell it or not?
the fact is i never touched it for about four monthes
it's not that i need the money real bad or such...
its just sitting in the freaking gig bag and i was thinking about getting an axis instead,
the only problem is i dont want to spend more money on a new guitar
(i will need to add more cash for the axis..)

guys what should i do,and be siereos i need help here..
(don't tell me to sell it just becouse you guys want to see another ebmm in my hand hhhhhhhhhhhh).....

I would apply the same rule to guitars that professionals suggest goes for clothes - if you haven't touched it in a year - get rid of it. In other words, if I were you, I'd wait another 8 months to sell the strat, unless you are positive you won't regret it later. Good luck.

I hear ya. Ever since I got my Luke, my G&L Legacy (strat) stays in its case. I do bring it out every once in a while and use it for a different color on recordings because it is a little different sounding.

I say keep it because it will come in handy. As far as the Axis, do what I did: save a little each month until you can purchase it on your own.

i would keep it around untill i felt like i HAD TO have the Axis. when that time comes, if you still havent touched it then sell it.

if youre not in serious need of the $ and arent sure about it there's no harm in keeping it around.

If it's the only other git you have, I'd keep it as a backup until replaced.

As another Luke lover, nothing wrong with playin your Luke all the time.

Should It Stay Or Should It Go?

i'm a firm believer that one never has enough guitars...
Understanding the versatility of LUKE guitars and every other EBMM for that fact it's a difficult choice. But i have an 80's something E$P Custom shop Strat that i keep around for the "JUST IN CASE" situation that something gets broken and or stolen... better to be safe than sorry... i'd say hold onto it until you absolutly need to get rid of it...

I had the exact same dilemma a few weeks back - just after I ordered my Luke. US Fender strat, my first "proper" guitar was not seeing much action. I loved the thing, especially since I'd had it so long, but knew deep down it wasnt going to see much playing from now on.

What did I do...I traded the Fender for a fistful of cash last week!

I never sold a guitar ... Now I have 10 guitars at home, it takes a lot of space, my wife is complaining.
Some guitars are just taking dust ... but now my kids are starting playing with them. They are too young to play with my Steve Morse so my old Aria is now very useful !
Besides, with every guitar I have some fond memories.
