A start i want to have split pos like Axis super sport and my stock pickup (15years old)
haven't 4 wires and i can't
i decide to test DIMARZIO PAF 36TH (i've seeing a lot of video of Jamie HUMPHRIES which use them and they seems so close of stock pickups
in fact they are so close and so goods and with a push pull pot i've 6 positions
the splitted sounds are greats (not the same of axis super sport) but very goods
i've changed also a volume knob for a dome knob it's easier to pull up the pot
i'm very happy i haven't loose the caracter of the guitar and it's more versatile than before
i've carefully place the old pickup in a good place because if imade no mistake they were like evh stock pickup (only 2 wires )

let me share with you theses pics:):):)

Awesome! That top is unreal.
Do you find the dome knob or the str@t style knob easier to do volume swells?

i prefer strat knob but with dome it's more easier to pull up the volume pot
i don't like more dome knob i nerver know how the pot turned
but in this case it was the better way

awesome axis. that guitar screams "rock 'n roll". i do think that the zebra pickups would look sweet on that guitar, but still a lethal looking guitar! want one.

Looks simply wicked ily, and that is one killer looking Axis. Nice to see you take good care of your gear as that sure does not look like a 15 year old guitar.I treat my gear the same was as it is not such a hard thing to just wipe down your ax after playing and stay on top of it maintenance wise. Jamie is hands down just one of the finest players and overall good guys in the world. I was talking with him and last I wrote him I asked him a question but he was off doing his gigs with Brian May, a month later he writes me back apologetic that he did not get back to me sooner. Seriously I was dumbfounded as it does not get classier than that!

That's a beautiful Axis.

And I love the 36th Anniversary model; I have them in an Axis Super Sport.
