Are those Black beauties on the Sterling in the bottom left?

How do they play/feel? I've thought about trying some of those.

Thanks BP, I hoped you'd like it! :D

@Russel
Those are tape wound strings and the pickup on the Sterling puts out this super cool "thump" , almost acoustic bass vibe. It's one of my main players... along with all the all the rest. :D

Way cool, Chuck. And I love the rug, too. The perfect compliment to your tree.

Somehow I figured something else.

Great pics!

Everyone think what ya want. I like basses, too.

And the 20th, and the Blue Dawn, and the Buttercream, and Dargie Delight, oh, and the rug. :D

tbone, you're my wife's favorite! I appearantly wasn't as excited about my wife's purchase of the rug as I should have been. We toured the factory where it was made (China) and she bought it on the spot. I ain't sayin' what it cost, but it's worth lots of EBMM dollars... :eek:

How much was that inlay? Not trying to be nosey, but I've always wanted to get custom inlays on most of my guitars, and I don't even know where to ask around here.

Wayne is a life long family friend, my Dad bought his first built guitar, he wouldn't take any money. I stopped in to leave the bass with him but he insisted on doing it on the spot. He tried for two hours to do it in abalone script from my Mom's own hand writing, but it kept breaking. So he did it in mother of pearl block letters. I actually like that better, you can see it better.

I did buy BP, Phatty and me one of his books and tipped him BIG. :D

I love me some Wayne C. :D
