It may be the fact that I'm new here, but it still blows my mind that I can buy the bass of my dreams and the next day correspond with not only scores of similarly rabid EBMM owners and fans, but also with the man personally responsible for by bass's very existance (BP) whose family name is on the headstock!

This is a first class forum and find myself in good company all around.

Congrats and welcome to the trans-orange SR5 club!

I've got trans-orange SR5 that I've been loving since it reached out and grabbed me a year ago. They're beautiful, and sound great, and if you get to play out in band situations with it you get another great surprise because it is the best bass for a live mix I've ever played.

The coolest part of lefthandzia is that is where they make the left handed butter knifes.
As a lefty butter knives for your rightys are a little difficult

Thanks for reminding me.

Susan and I are both left handed. We have all of this really nice silverware that she inherited. The butter knives are a pain in the a$$ to use because they are made for right handed people!

Is there such a thing as left handed butter knives?

Table knives always did me just fine. However, I hate those stupid right handed scissors. They hurt like a son of a gun and they're all I've had to use for so long I'm really clumsy with the true left handed ones. ugh!

They say left handers are more prone to accidents. Duh! You would be to if you have to grow up where everything is geared towards your non-dominant side. :p

edit: Here ya go Larry

Those are slightly different. What you can use for a butter knife in Denmark can obviously be used for a fish knife in the UK.

We don't break out the sterling very often, but when we do it really is akward using the right handed butter knife with you left hand. I have always used right handed scissors too. I don't think I've ever even tried the left handed version.

I do play golf left handed. Although I'm not sure what I do on the golf course could actually be considered "playing" golf.

Yes, I heard it is usually awkward when Sterling gets out. Didn't know you had him these days. They get tired of him in Cali?

I was forced to learn batting right-handed due to no left-handed batting helmets. Confuse people when I play tennis because I play left-handed but have a wicked back-hand due to batting right-handed.

Tried golf. I was all confused. Was it Churchill that stated golf ruins a perfectly good walk. As long as you enjoy it who cares what they call it. Hope you don't tough it out there on them fareways in the middle of them Texas summers.

BP, You prolly never noticed lefties openning the wrapped 1/4 lb stick of butter from the other end. I assume that to most folks, both ends of the butter look alike .......

And now, Wilkum Pilgrimme !!! Please secure the safey bar and fasten your harness, keep hands and feet inside the car at all times. Clankity clankity clank ...

So I just checked my butter knife in my drawer here at work, which I admit I've generally considered to be a peanut butter knife. It's the offset kind [not a 'table knife'] and I wanted to see why it never bugged me, why I never even think abouditt. Finding: I use it upside down [wrong edge up] and never even think about it. We leftists are just so adaptable which is why I play right handed basses .... being the prodigal black sheep and red haired stepdog of Lefthandia.

You might think that as long as I've been here and with BP's number on speed dial, I'd be immune to how cool it is - but I still find it amazingly wonderful. I'm glad to hear someone else say it so I can just say, "Yeah, me too, man."

Welcome. Every now and then, it's nice to hear that this thing is working for nearly everyone!

thanks Jack!

Act One Music eh? Hey Psychicpet, I think we met already. You let me check out your cream bongo fretless one day when I was in buying a Badass bridge. I had never seen one in person until then. That was one gorgeous bass that actually made me realize that all these years I had been dreaming of owning a Stingray and it was time to just do it.

I was debating ordering a Bongo but as the opportunity to get the lefty SR5 came up, I had to go for it. Its a small world, will stop in soon,
