Raz,

Congrats on getting the gig! I'll give you the same advice my father gave me when I joined/formed a band for the first time:
"As long as you are having a good time, keep playing in it. If/when it stops being fun, get out before the bombs go off."

 be cool

Thanks guys, you guys are the best, and the advice helps. We are, after only a couple of jams, pretty comfotable and friendly with each other....wait that didn't come out right! :D
We may (fingers crossed) have a gig lined up for November. I know it's early but it's an open mic jam at this new venue, so it's perfect. Hey maybe I can do one of those SteveB video posts, complete with 'accessories-and-all' ;)

Raz,

It would be great to see some video footage. When you get some raw footage together down the road, let me know and I'll gladly help you get it online.

I was thinking, since we're a different kind of band, I'd figure why not try merchandising different items, so I'm thinking briefs and boxers for starters. For you cheap skates out there, we can do G-strings to save on material costs :D

Raz,

Why not skip the band and just do the merchandising? I think this is a brilliant plan.. think of the savings when you don't have to buy gear!

You can hype up the band as much as you want.. since it won't exist, it will never have to deliver on all the hype! :D
