to sound like me, you would need to be born in the same town, in the same era, had the sh!t kicked out of you by the same bullies before during and after school, loved the same girl, sandwich, and hairbands. then if you also had the same mom and dad (i think i know which one he is) you might sound a little like me. chances are good, you might sound way better than me , though if you were able to skip the dokken phase.

nice one dave. agree 100%. i was perfectly content until i heard what i could not believe i had never heard before. then i had to have it. right then, right there. thanks for keeping the royalty bit in.... my fav part!!

8.5 million combos may mean you will never use 8,499,995 of the possibilities on a daily basis but in the very likely chance you hear a tone you like, you have all those combis on tap to ensure that you can get from "close enough", to as close as possible short of having the original rig itself with you.

Spent my time in the hair band phase too. Nothing wrong with that, it is all a learning experience. Now the Gamechanger can store my heavy 80's chorus sounds when I want to relive them. Too cool.

Oh... so they're the reason why I never got anywhere...

On topic: I never quite understood the urge to sound exactly like someone else. I rather try hard to sound exactly like myself. And on some basses I have more success, which happen to be of the Music Man breed.

Given that I can't even handle the sound variety the standard Reflex offers, I'm absolutely sure I absolutely don't need a Game Changer. However, I am equally sure that I want one!

I'd like the Marotta Taxman sound please

The track "Taxman " is from Carl Verheyen's "Trading Eights" cd.
That one was easy. My Bongo 5 HS fretless with one track miked through a Markbass 1x12 Combo and one track direct through a Sansamp bass driver.
During the verses the miked sound is favored in the mix. In the solo section we favored the grungier sound of the Sansamp.The pickups were panned slightly to the rear .
