My JP6 (three weeks old now)

My JP has been getting all the attention it craves from me for the past few weeks, and hence my low frequency of posts here. I am amazed at some of the runs I can pull off on this guitar. Initially I had problems because I was going way too fast with very little control thanks to that amazing neck, but once I reined in my string happy fingers, I found that the JP actually makes me a better player thanks to the additional control required. My JP saw its first gig sunday when me and two friends performed for about 10 minutes in a cultural event at the university. It felt really good to be up there on stage with the JP. I also stocked up on lemon oil, b/c tru-oil and gun stock wax. With all this happy stuff, the only thing that scares me now is that I listened to "An evening with Petrucci and Rudess" yesterday, and now I want a Piezo

Yep...the piezo is the best! I won't buy another JP without one! I think the guitar itself makes me practice more due to the great neck and feel. It is just plain comfortable! I have one a work and play at lunch time and always have one when I am at home.

ahhh...what a guitar!!

Yeah the piezo is a very handy feature, l love it, esp. since l'm in a covers band. It's also good for some of my originals too, since they have both Acoustic and electric in some of them.

You should be very happy with the guitar you have at the moment though, it's a fantastic guitar, with piezo or not, l love mine.

i highly agree on that one brother koogie. i also find myself practicing more when i play my jp6 as opposed to just f'in around.

great axe ... i wish i had discovered them earlier.

on a side note i was at my fav local music shop yesterday (and this mornign too) and tried to convinced them to carry EBMM. Im an ambasador now

Funny, I get calls from the local shops around here when the new EBMM's come in. I seem to be the only one who really knows what they are aside from the basses. So, I get to check them out once they get to the stores and test drive 'em....nice being in this "secret society"....
