thats sweet.

im all about the hard case but today i took 2 guitars to practice and i was wishing i had a gig bag with backpack like straps. carrying a guitar case in each hand is just annoying.

i figure is a "controlled" scenario a gigbag is aight

how heavy would that case be

you pickin it up?

It's got castors, which is very handy, but most of my lugging is from the loading dock to the stage, so no big deal. It's located interstate, and will cost around US$20 to ship to me, so again, no big deal. At the price I paid, it's a steal - I paid almost twice that price for an ATA flight case for my Thunderbird.

Why? I haven't ridden a bus for 25 years, and have no need to.

It might not be too long before I don't need to use a bus anymore, but in the meantime I'll continue to use gigbags.

I leave them at home and hire a rig for the few gigs I play at the moment. Not an ideal situation, but I get by.

where do you rent your rig?
are they expensive?

We hire it from the rehearsal studio we use... that's if I can't borrow someone else's or get transportation for mine. I think it was £30 last time to hire an Ashdown ABM rig.

Yes, that's all my gear (well, some of it anyway). I don't leave it in the van, since different gigs require different PA configurations. By the look of that photo, that was for a small gig - often the van is filled to the roof with gear.

And I thought I had it tough!

Mark, are they Mackie speakers that you have snuggled in amongst all that gear?
