Very cool Craig. I have to admit that song grows on you. My teenage daughter is a big fan of that song. So for now its OK for me to be on the forum. Because someone cool is on it. Fun with teenagers:rolleyes:

I have long wondered who the bass player was on that song. It caught my ear as the most important part along with the keys.

Good song, good playing! you rock.

Today, while driving and listening to Sirius radio, I heard them say that this tune is like the #1 country tune of the year or something like that. Pretty impressive!! :)

I have no idea who plays what on that song. I have seen the singers.

I learned here who was on the bass. I have no idea who else is playing that song but it is and will be one of my favorites.

Some tight playing went on and that is why it is a good song.
to me any way.

Craig, I am so happy to learn you are the bass player on the Lady Antebelum hit. The first time I heard it I was drawn to your brilliant bass lines. I checked the David Mead songs and once again your signature lines become and integral part of the song. Thanks for keeping the bass in the forefront of pop music.

Craig do you still get paid for your work when it's played after it's been recorded?

As it works here in Sweden (and most other countries) musicians get paid each time a song you´ve played on is broadcasted on the telly or on radio. Not on local radio stations but the major networks has to pay. The organization that handle this here is called SAMI. Swedish Artist & Musicians Association. They are collaborating with other similar organizations around the globe. Strangely enough I see on SAMI´s website that USA is not listed among the countries they work with. That is odd. Canada, Mexico, Great Britain, France, Japan and most other countries in the "civilized" world are listed but not USA. Even countries like Uruguay and Latvia is on there. Neither New Zealand nore Australia is on the list either. Don´t know how it works in these countries.

Awesome song!!! Got goosebumps watching that video...did I mention that I don't listen to country music

For some reason I kept thinking about Concrete Blonde's song 'Joey'. I love that song. It has that same type of sweet melancholy aching feel. 'Need you now' is going to be a keeper

Great work, as always :)

Craig, I heard that you're working on the new Britney Spears record. Is she doing country stuff? That would be so cool. I'd love to hear her done some country stuff with great hooks like Big & Rich do. Do you know those guys?

cyoungnashville,

this mp3 won't play to me, damn!

I must try that at home PC!

What's this some flash player or something? :(

P.S. ...DTG, do You need sound engineer in this nice studio? I could be available if You need one! :p

Edit: ...Oh, sorry, now it's workin', Firefox did the job, ...good stuff, quality production, indeed! Is that a real acoustic snare drum in drums line? If it is, it's excellent recorded and blended!
