Hi Guys!
So my Axis S.S. arrives today. I went straight to my school mail room from work. When I arrived and picked up the box, one side of the box was open  I didn't know why this was about, so I asked the worker and he said it came with it already open on one side. err... Wasn't happy but tought to my self, as long as what's inside is good then that's all that matter.

So here is what I saw when I ran home and opened up the case.

Looks: It was beautiful Natural Quilted maple top :) Definetly more than what I have expected.

Tone: plugged it in and sounds great.

Playbility:.... this is where I found a problem. The high E string is slipping off the fret . I mean with very slight vibrato or pull offs, it just slide right off the frets. Matter of fact, with just slight vertical pressure, it slides off. :(

SO what do I do??? Do I have to send it in to EBMM? If i do, I can't believe i have to wait another week or two to play it! err...

I had the same problem with my SUB 1. Perhaps not as extreme...simply re-align the saddles, shove them over a touch so that you can push the HIGH E in towards the rest of them...worked great for me!

Glad your Super Sport arrived. I had some setup issues when I first received my Super Sport (they had not finished cutting the nut, which was throwing off the intonation). EB customer service was fantastic. They resolved the issue and it has been playing wonderfully for over a year now.

To me your issue sounds like a setup issue. What is the clearance at the 12th fret? It could be that the neck needs a slight adjustment. Since you ordered online, you may want to give Jon a call and see what he says.

Also, since I'm predominately a rhythm player, I had it set up with 10's, rather than the 9's that came on it. I much prefer the feel of the 10's.
