A few years back I convinced the bass player in my old band to get a Blue Dawn Sterling that was just hanging in GC at a great price, as I had just gotten a blue Dawn Luke. He bought it.

Then I convinced him to take his pickguard off so waaaay more of the blue dawn color showed. He did.

He didn't own that thing a week before he dropped some kind of pedal on it and took a chunk out of the top right where the pickguard would have been.

YEEEEEHAAAAWWW - EB Strap Locks are coming :)

I usually put on Schaller Safety Loks on my guitars, but when I bought my Luke in May 2007, I decided to wait until the EB Safety locks finally do come out, for they were announced to be available soon...

Yesssir, I ordered them as of today (chrome, should look gorgeous with my black Luke) when I found out that they are in stock again and I just checked and they're already underway!!!!!!!

So I guess my Luke won't be hitting the stage floor anymore - only on purpose :p

Rock on y'all !!!

Of course, for me, this is just incase my precious axe hits the .............. carpet ........... in the front room.

Hardcore me, hardcore

OP, sorry to hear (read) about your Luke tragedy.

Before strap locks were common, I started using large washers to hold my guitar strap to my guitar back in the early '70's after the strap came off the end of the guitar and the headstock whacked me pretty hard in the face. Fortunately it was during a practice session and not an unexpected part of the show. Crude, but effective.

Strap locks FTW!
