My Luke was just delivered. It's sweet and the color looks different in person. Darker but beautiful. The only questions I have are:

1) Do they normally ship with 2 springs installed on the trem?
2) Is the trem usually set like this? See the picture. Should it be level with the body?

Also, the EBMM box had been opened when it was delivered but everything looks fine. There is one small, small scuff on the body but I think it can be rubbed out.

hahahaaaaaaaaa!!! NICE!!! That IS the Carbon Blue right? Once again it looks different, but BEAUTIFUL no doubt. I think the Luke's do come with the tremolo floating, but maybe not THAT much. I should be getting my Carbon Luke in around maybe May :( .

Yes they do come w/ 2 springs installed and yes the bridge is floating and looks right. These specs are as per Luke himself. If you don't like the floating trem or want the trem to be tighter, you can make those adjustments yourself. I like mine the way Luke spec'd his. It's all a personal issue.

No it's cool. If that's the spec, that's how I want it. Thanks guys. Now, I just hope I can rub out that little scuff a bit. And yes, that's Carbon Blue Pearl.

this is onr amazing color bro'

its looks just fine personaly i dont recomend you putiing 3 springs at the back
1. its will make the bridge harder to handdle
2. it will force you to go through a heavy adjasments on those screws at the back.

so enjoy man

p.s is it not the most amazing guitar you ever played on or what??????

i swear i am in the business for a long time now and this is the most rewarding instrument i have ever played on
WELL DONE BOYS WELL DONE..

Looks right to me.

Some folks (I'm one) don't like the floating trem if they rest their picking hand on the bridge as everything goes sharp if too much pressure is applied.

I tried three springs but it just didn't work as well. And I think I've got mine set a little lower than that. When its very high, I was having trouble with it returning to pitch. Mine is set to pull up about two semitones on the second highest string at the 7th fret. Originally it was three semitones but I like the feel with this slightly tighter setup.

That's all normal :)

FWIW, I know I always open the box once UPS delivers it just to make sure the guitar is in one piece. I had one customer ask me to check the guitar when it arrived here, then when it got to him he emails me saying "it's here, the only problem is that the box was opened"

Dave, enjoy the Luke! It's a great instrument to play.

Thanks Pete. I ordered the guitar from a place in Chicago so I'd expect the box to be sealed when it gets here. Everything was cool though.

It's normal but I did find the bridge creeping up higher and higher over time.
Since I lightly rest my hand on the bridge, the way its designed, its uncomfortable to play when its too far up.
Then one day I decide to put the trem flush with the body as well as my Strat. Although I did like to be able to pull back I don't like what happens when a string breaks.
