He told me that he was a big fan of yours and never meant to say that those songs are his.

Oh, and that he chatted with you a couple of times!! Hahaha...

:D :D :D

What a dweeb.

...

Just for the record, I told him I pitty him for not having better things to do than stealing other people's music. I did not "chat" with him. :D

the DMCA is worth reading up on. Google DMCA to see what it offers you as a copyright holder. It protects both you and site that your copywritten material turns up on. if you see your stuff on a site that complies w/ the DMCA then they should have a clearly outlined prodecure on how you can request them to remove your copywritten material. you can usually find this info in a site "terms of service" or "terms and conditions" section (usually small links at the bottom of a site).

at the music site i work at we spent a TON of time making sure songs cant cant stolen off our site. i researched a ton of sites to see how easy or hard songs are to "get for free" and surprisingly it was pretty damn easy on a bunch of sites (some even 256k+ hi quality mp3s).

anywho - hope this is helpful.

a friend of mine mailed it to me...

god, I'm so shocked, I've found another page where the guy uses interviews I gave to HTD and guitare-live and just replaces my name by his...

he's crazy !!!

So, how can we be certain that these messages are really being posted by Tristan? :D

Not good enough, he should be permanently banned from MySpace. Everyone knows he put that song as his own.

he should be hanged. or made to listen to Nickleback for 58 hours straight. or worse- HINDER.

Actually...Hinder ain't bad. I got to meet them at a show and they were super cool dudes. My singer won an after show party with Hinder and it was great. I was sporting my EB shirt, hat and bongo bling....the guitar players and bassist right away starting talking EBMM with me. They are string endorsed I believe....and they had nothing but great things to say about EB and the family.

Anywho...glad it worked out Tristan....
