I was at NAMM today. It was fun and I got to catch up with some friends that I haven't seen in years. I pretty much saw everything and got TONS of photos (I felt like a tourist at Disneyland).

I must confess, I really didn't get much info regarding the Gamechanger. YES, there was a rotating group of MM musicians that gave presentations, but I seemed to come to the EB booth either during set up or when it was unbelieveably crowded.

As far as instruments go, I got to play lots of nice guitars. The JPX1 is really NICE! I also love the Reflex guitars and the Steve Morse. Surprisingly there were no roasted guitars on display. Also there were some really nice SBMM guitars. The new AX40 (I think) was really cool.

So here are some pics.

Surprisingly there were no roasted guitars on display.

I noticed while browsing on Musician's Friend yesterday that their roasted Reflex is on clearance. Maybe the roasted thing was just for 2010?

Awsome pics. Thanks for sharing.

Anyone take any of the new Sterling models?

Finally, some pics of the Ernie Ball Exhibit area

Really great pics and really appreciate you taking the time and posting them! Man that sunburst HH Al is killer.

Thanks for the pics! Looks like a lot of fun as always. I would love to attend one of these sometime in the future.

The JPXI does look really cool. How did the neck feel and the 20" radius and the stainless frets?

thanks for the picutres!
sadly there is no chambered blackburst Y2D :(

Joe, this might not surface until maybe summer. I asked Steve about it when he was in NYC couple months back...he said that there was still a lot of work to do on it, so we will have to wait a bit longer. I am hoping it does come out at some point...beautiful guitar.

I didn't realize until I was uploading the pics that I didn't get any of the SBMM models. The SBMM guitars are a bit off to the side at their booth. I took so many pictures of guitars and basses and drums and recording equipment yesterday I couldn't believe it when I got home and uploaded them to my computer.

It's unbelievable how much great (and not so great) stuff is out there. NAMM is really cool in that it brings it all together.
