OK Guys

Here's the deal - I was trying to keep this quiet.

I've been talking to these guys for over 9 months and we finally cut a deal on the gremlin. They wouldn't take a card over the phone so I've got to wire funds. Monday is a bank holiday so this can't happen until Tuesday.

This was a bit of a frustrating deal for a number of reasons and I'd appreciate it if no else rocked the boat at this time.

Here it is

That's awesome man! Don't think of the frustration, the struggle in obtaining it combined with the rarity will just make it that much sweeter. I'm just so glad I already have a sweet AL, or I'd be weeping right now instead of congratulating. ;)

Hey man sorry if I blew the lid off that one for you....I was talking to them until right after the new years and was going to pay what they wanted, however I hate to say it but when you got a customer willing to pay sitting waiting for 2 weeks with NO CALL BACK, NO PICS as promised I basically said forget it. No regrets either, but the customer service there sucked. How many dealers are gonna sit on that when I was willing to pay WHAT THEY WANTED for 4 plus year old guitar? I called back 6 times, several emails and I was like, hey you dont want my money, no problem....but I am glad you got that one it is rare.
If thats your first AL, just wait until you hear it dude....:D I got my Sunburst AL I aint bitching......

Smellly I dont get what you offered...52 and slow

No it's me! - It sounded better in my head, and having seen my mock up..... well maybe it should have stayed there, but it might trigger something better from someone else....
So..

I've been off work sick and watching wrecks to ritches nonstop and somewhat post-op drug enduced i was inspired by Welcome to Barry's Speed Shop's Super Muscle Car and barry white's work... and having seen your muscle cars and passion for older cars I thought what the hell.....

My concept is,

Regular AL body -with a muscle car feel..... but not clayton cams a la mr horsepower......

Wing for a pickguard, lots of chrome, lipstick coils, - or silver topped EMG's, a musicman PAF so I guess that'd be a MMAF?- - that's light reflecting off my AL no some paint screwup!!

50's chrome radio knobs, and a chevy bevelled taillight on the top horn..

I've not photoshopped it (as you can tell) and I'm not a mental patient (contrary to public thoughts) but it was an idea I had and it's not everyday you get to pitch to the owner of a guitar company!

Your feedback is always welcome!!!!

Brace yourself............:D

How about a clear lucite AL with those crazy neon lights that everyone seems to be putting under thier cars nowadays?

After thinking about that idea while looking at Smelly's avatar, maybe a lucite AL is not a proper idea  :D
