My MM90 Trem! It finally got here today (after I chased down the FedEx guy!), and is really a sweet instrument. I see the rule here is post it if you have it, so here we go. A really nice sparkly silver with the most killer pickguard material I have seen... actually seems to change color when you look at it under different light. Cool, cool, cool.

I did! She was extremely nice. Luckily for me, she preferred the HH model, and made this one available. I have been patiently waiting for one and this is the coolest one I have seen.

Hey Rob- I caught several of your videos on YT, great stuff. You and a few other guys ripping it up with ALs on there helped make my decision to take the plunge. I am really enjoying this neck, the fretwork it pretty darn good!

Welcome to the forum! Great place here. You take way better pictures of that guitar than I did :)

That's funny, Beth! Since getting the guitar, I am already looking for another one for backup. My bank account is screaming for mercy... Thanks for the great transaction. You're top shelf.

Livr report...

Got to try the MM90 Al on stage last night. The guitar was actually getting reactions just sitting on the stand, which was cool. Played through my Mesa Road King and the 2x12 cabinet. Sounds were really interesting, and a little surprising.

First, I admit to missing some of the huger humbucker tones. There were some great sounds in there, and I was able to substitute some good (albeit different) ones in place of the really big HB tones.

The expected P90 grind was there, and worked great on the classic rock stuff. Very authentic sounding.

The surprising part was the clean tone. The keyboard player is a pretty educated musician, so he challenges me to play progressions I am not familiar with and has expanded my jazzier lines a lot. This guitar has great jazzy tones, especially in the 4 and 5 pickup positions! I realize a lot of the great jazz axes run on P90s, but I sure didn't expect that from a solidbody guitar. Transparent, almost acoustic sounding. Inspirational to play with that sort of tone going on.

All in all, a very very versatile guitar. I was impressed, as was the band. Still not sure I won't end up with a HH (or HHH!) model to keep out of the other guitarists primarily single coil tone spectrum, but this is a great flavor and has its own take on the single coil sound. Most happy with the addition to the guitar stable!
